The Dunedin Court building is located on the corner of Lower Stuart St. and Castle streets and is considered to have significant historic intrinsic value. 

The decision to sprinkler protect this building is in keeping with general recommendation propounded by agencies who have historic building interests. The building was closed for several moths while a full internal and external refurbishment was effected. Fire sprinkler pipes were concealed within floor spaces as were other services including new heating piping. Such a confined space presented special difficulties in both design and co-ordination

Fire Protection Engineers provided sub consultant services to the Fire Engineer to develop a competitive platform for tendering. Fire Protection Engineers also provided the working drawings and detailed design for the installation Contractor
